Beech Tree-Table

Highly spalted beech—locally sourced

25” x 25”  (64 x 63 cm) top

18 “  (46cm) high

Beech was used by bodgers in the Chilterns to make chair legs. Normally a rather plain wood and chocolate brown in colour,  it quickly spalts due to it being infected with varying fungi. The result is what you see here.
